Curriculum
The program is comprised of an intensive study of classic Torah sources which provides the participants with the comprehensive knowledge and analytical skills needed to apply Halacha in the modern world.
Through their five year course of study, our fellows will take eleven rigorous exams on their way to achieving Rav Ir semicha from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. In addition, the importance of contemporary Halachic challenges is emphasized. Topics covered include:

The intensive beit midrash schedule is supplemented with weekly classes on Tanach and Jewish Philosophy. Our fellows cover the writings and thoughts of the greatest Jewish thinkers throughout the ages, from the medieval writings of the Rambam and Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi, all the way through to such contemporary luminaries as Rav Soloveitchik and Rav Kook.
Our participants’ wives are an integral part of our mission, and as such take part in this training as well. Our fellows participate in certified courses and international conferences, along with their wives, providing leadership and other pastoral skill sets.
